SilexGIS is an web application for storage and view of cave topographic, geographic and other associatd data. Most functionality is designed as a GIS through which you can add and view geograhical information on dynamic web maps.

The main purpose of SilexGIS is to offer an easy to use system in which you can enter all information resulted following cave (and karstic system) exploration, within an interface dedicated to speleology. One of the main advantages is that, if you expose it on the internet, the interface can be accessed from any device with a web browser, following user authentification. It can be installed on a private server, on a public server or locally, on any personal computer without public access. It can be installed on any computer that runs a LAMP/WAMP server type on Linux or Windows.

SilexGIS is free and opensource, distributed under a GNU GPL 2.0 license.
